Last weekend saw the Lambton Castle Trails Runs 2024, a particular favourite of mine. The event was hosted by our friends at Wild Deer they have some great runs, swims and triathlons coming for the rest of this year. Their signature event the Geordieman happens at the start of September, this will be AWESOME!
The Lambton Castle Trail Runs 2024 showed the magnificent grounds in all their glory. The option of 5 mile, 10 mile and 15 mile trail runs were outstanding. All routes showing particularly scenic aspects of the wonderful grounds. Being a Wild Deer event there was of course the odd hill or two. Some brilliant organisers and volunteer marshals helped guide the runners around the mix of paths, woods and fields. A great time was enjoyed by all. Here’s a few images from the day.
Timing Up North ensured everyone got an accurate time for their efforts and Rapid Reaction were on hand should anyone have an accident. Fortunately everything went off smoothly so no problems for either.
The original Lambton Castle trail runs back in 2019 was our second event we photographed for Wild Deer. I wasn’t actually booked to photograph it, my wife was helping as a marshal and Dan asked me if I had my my camera with. Well, what a silly question, a photographer without a camera? Fortunately there was enough time for me to run home and get it:-).
