Last weekend we had the pleasure of photographing the Alnwick Castle 10k and Half Marathon. Perfect trail running conditions except being slightly moist under foot in places. The slideshow below shows a summary of the event. The runs organised by Wild Deer Events are a regular event. Annually the team host the run around the grounds of the beautiful castle.

The runs hosted by Wild Deer follow a challenging course suitable for all abilities. It leaves the foot of the grounds and follows the river Aln. Heading through a wooded section it’s mainly flat with a hill around mile 6.
The half marathon was won by Luisa Dorward with an impressive time of 1 hour 32 minutes and 46 seconds. The team at Timing Up North were on hand for accurate timings. The 10k race was won by Alistair Douglass with an equally impressive time of 35 minutes and 3 seconds.
